(As published in March's issue of LoveSewing magazine)
No matter how cold it is outside the Toronto doors of The Sewing Studio this time of year, I can’t help but think ahead to summer. It’s not because we’re planning our summer camps for fashion-minded kids and teens (even though we ar…

I'm glad I found this site and I'm even happier it's Canadian! I'm just getting back into sewing now that my daughter is of an age where she wants to learn. I only did a bit of sewing while in school and in my early 20's, so I wasn't an expert to begin with and I'm basically learning while I'm teaching my daughter. Can't wait to get some projects done.

Hey!
I love sewing!! I wish I could sew my own clothing although I can't find enough time! So it gives me no other choice but to shop! Don't get me wrong, I like shopping alot but usually I can't find ANYTHING I like. All the stores in my area are filled with very cheap and gothic/emo clothing. My style is alot like K.L's clothing, I really love all of her clothing in her PigMent shop and wish I could own them. I am considering to shop online, howev

Hello everyone! My name is Candace Potter, and I am 13 years old. I started sewing not that long ago and have already made an apron, a costume for my dog and a pin cushion. I am currently on the verge of making a gorgeous pink speckled purse! I am in a sewing club at my school which is very fun although this club is very simple and is more for "newbies". I am very interested in attending classes outside school however I am having much difficulty finding a class. When I found th

Hello everyone!. I am a newbie on this site, so I am kind of blank rite now. Oh, but don't you worry! I will be up and running as soon as I save enough money to get a sewing machine. So much crap is getting in the way of what I really want and it's just hard to have anything when nothing is given to you and you have to give what you have to make ends meet. Anyways, I am trying to get a sewing machine and I am trying to learn to sew my own clothes. I know this may be weird, but I am a fashion mer…
